Step into the NYTS Tea Studio for a night of mystery, discovery, and refined tasting at our Saturday Night Blind Tasting! Whether you're a seasoned tea drinker or just beginning your tea journey, this session is designed to challenge your senses, refine your palate, and deepen your appreciation for tea—one blind brew at a time. Each session features at least four carefully selected teas, served completely blind—no names, no origins, no hints. Your only guide? Your senses. As each tea is poured, you’ll be invited to explore: Aroma – What scents rise from the leaves and liquor? Are they floral, toasty, earthy, or something else entirely? Flavor – How does the tea evolve on your palate? Is it sweet, malty, vegetal, fruity, or surprisingly complex? Mouthfeel – Is the texture smooth, silky, or bold? Aftertaste - Does the flavor linger, leaving a lasting impression? To capture your experience, each guest receives a tasting notes sheet, allowing you to jot down your thoughts, observations, and personal impressions. At the end of each tasting, we’ll reveal the teas, and discuss their origins, processing methods, and unique qualities—often leading to surprising discoveries! Blind tastings are a fun and interactive way to train your taste buds, break biases, and uncover new favorites without the influence of labels or expectations. Whether you’re here to challenge yourself, expand your tea knowledge, or enjoy an evening of great conversation over incredible teas, this experience is not to be missed.
