Harvest Location: Ta Xua, Son La, Vietnam
Harvest Date: 2023 - Autumn
Cultivar: Shan Tuyet
Elevation: 2100 meters
Harvested in the high, mist-covered forests of Tà Xùa in Sơn La Province, this 2025 wild Shan Tuyet white tea comes from tea trees scattered across the mountains at around 2,100 meters. The forest here is thick and untouched, with trunks wrapped in peat, moss, and lichen, giving the trees a rugged, ancient feel. Each cake is a blend of leaves gathered from many wild trees growing close together in this dense ecosystem, making it difficult to assign a precise age to the material.
In the cup, the tea opens with light alpine florals, cool herbal layers, and a clean, steady sweetness. As it warms, the character deepens into soft resinous hints and a gentle mountain clarity. Beyond the flavor, it carries a calming, grounding qi—a quiet, centering energy that settles gradually, matching the stillness of the high-altitude forest it comes from.
This is a bright yet serene expression of Tà Xùa’s wilderness, offering both immediate comfort and promising depth for long-term aging.
