Fenghuang Dan Cong (Phoenix Single Bush) is an infamous oolong tea that originates from Fenghuang Shan (Phoenix Mountains) in Chaozhou, Guandong Province, China. Dancong translates to "single bush". There are many different varieties of dancong oolong, each with its own unique flavor profile.
Mi Lan Xiang, translating to “Honey Orchid Fragrance,” is one of the most beloved and iconic cultivars in the Fenghuang Dancong family. Revered for its harmony of floral sweetness and fruity depth, this oolong captures the essence of Phoenix Mountain’s misty slopes and mineral-rich terroir.
This particular Mi Lan Xiang features a medium roast, skillfully processed through a combination of electric baking and traditional charcoal roasting. The result is a beautifully balanced cup — where gentle roasted undertones intertwine with the natural orchid aroma and honeyed fruit character.
The liquor shines amber-gold, with a smooth, lingering sweetness that evokes lychee, nectar, and wildflowers. Each infusion unveils new dimensions: beginning floral and airy, deepening into syrupy richness, and finishing with a clean, mineral sparkle unique to Fenghuang’s ancient rocky soil.
